How we select our providers
Before appearing on Swigo, every beauty provider goes through a manual review. These are the documents we require before a profile is published.
Checked before going live
-
Identity document
Passport, identity card or residence permit, valid and in the applicant’s own name.
-
Right to work in Switzerland
The work permit is checked whenever nationality alone is not enough.
-
Liability insurance
A certificate of liability insurance is required at sign-up: it is what covers damage caused on site.
-
Self-employed status (AVS)
A certificate from the compensation office, when the provider works for themselves.

Beauty services in Geneva: vetted professionals, wherever suits you
Finding a good beautician or nail technician in Geneva almost always comes down to word of mouth, and without a recommendation it is hard to trust your nails, your lashes or your skin to a stranger found through a listing. Swigo checks every beauty provider by hand, with identity, right to work and liability insurance verified, before they become visible on the platform.
The principle is simple
-
You tell us the service you are looking for and your postcode.
-
You compare the profiles available near you (Geneva, Carouge, Vernier, Lancy, Meyrin or elsewhere in the canton).
-
You choose the person who suits you, and the service happens at the place and time that work for you.
The payment is held when you book and is only released once the service has been carried out.
Professional treatments, without the waiting room
-
Manicure and nails
Semi-permanent polish, gel and nail care, carried out wherever you are.
-
Facials
Cleansing, hydration and glow treatments matched to your skin type.
-
Lashes, brows and makeup
Lash lifts and brow tinting, and makeup for daytime, evenings or big occasions, with everything brought along.
-
Waxing
Waxing and threading, for the face and the body.
For a regular manicure or bridal makeup in Geneva, the principle stays the same: providers selected one by one, a free choice, a protected payment.
Frequently asked questions, Beauty
Selection, hygiene, payment: the questions that come up most often.
How are beauty providers selected?
Every application is reviewed by hand: identity document, right to work in Switzerland, certificate of liability insurance. We do not monitor profiles continuously: we check at the door, and we reopen a file whenever something is reported to us.
Does the provider bring their own equipment?
Yes, in the vast majority of cases: products, polish, single-use equipment and everything needed to work cleanly. The terms are set out on each profile, and you can agree them before booking.
Is hygiene guaranteed?
Providers undertake to follow strict hygiene rules, with equipment either disinfected or single-use. If that is not respected, report it: we step in and the profile is reviewed again.
Can I choose my provider?
Yes. You compare profiles, reviews and rates, then you book the person you want. No provider is ever imposed on you.
When and how do I pay?
Payment happens online, securely. The funds are only released to the provider once the service has been carried out, so you never pay blind.
Am I covered if something goes wrong?
A certificate of liability insurance is mandatory at sign-up: we ask every beauty provider for it, and without it the profile is not published. That insurance covers damage caused during the service. Do mention any known allergy before the appointment, and if there is a reaction or a dispute, our support team looks into it with you and the provider.
