What status do I need to work on Swigo?
You work as a self-employed provider. Swigo is a platform that puts people in touch rather than an employer: we do not pay a salary and we withhold nothing at source. In Switzerland it is the AVS compensation office that recognises self-employed status, not the platform and not its client. If you are not yet registered, we point you to the steps when your file is reviewed.
Am I insured during a service?
Swigo does not provide insurance covering your work, and that is exactly why liability insurance is required at sign-up. Without a valid certificate, your profile is not published. As a self-employed provider you are also outside an employer’s accident insurance: we strongly recommend taking out personal accident cover.
How long does it take to review my file?
Allow a few working days. Every file is reviewed by someone on our team. If a document is missing, we come back to you rather than turning you down without explanation. More answers for providers.
