A lash lift curls your own lashes at the root and sets them in that position: it is a perm rather than an application, and nothing is added. With a tint, the effect looks like mascara that does not come off, and it lasts six to eight weeks, the time it takes for lashes to renew.
Brow work is about reshaping: the line is redrawn with tweezers or thread, tinted to fill in the gaps, and everything else is left alone. On Swigo you choose the provider yourself, you see their rate before booking, and the payment is only released once the service is done.

How long it lasts, the patch test, sensitive eyes: the questions that come up most often.
How long does a lash lift last?
Six to eight weeks, which is the length of a lash renewal cycle. The effect does not vanish all at once: lifted lashes fall out gradually and are replaced by straight ones. A lift is not repeated before six weeks, to let the fibre recover.
Why a patch test 48 hours beforehand?
Because lash and brow tints contain dyes that can sensitise, and a reaction on the eyelid is not comparable to redness on an arm. The test is done in the crook of the elbow or behind the ear, at a first appointment or on a quick visit. A provider who offers it is not making things complicated, they are doing their job.
How is this different from lash extensions?
Entirely. A lift works with your own lashes, adds nothing, takes an hour and lasts six to eight weeks. Extensions glue on fibres one by one, take two to three hours, need infills every three weeks and professional removal. This page offers lifts rather than extensions.
What makes the price vary?

What should I avoid after the appointment?
Keep the lashes dry for twenty-four hours, and skip the sauna, steam room and swimming pool on the first day: the setting needs that time. No eyelash curler either, it would undo the work. Mascara is fine from the next day, though most clients find they no longer need it.
