Book your facial in Geneva
A vetted beautician comes to cleanse, extract and massage, at the time and place that suit you.
- Providers vetted by hand
- You choose your provider
- Paid once the service is done
No commitment, rate confirmed before you book
What actually happens during a facial?
A structured hour, always in the same order: skin assessment, cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extraction of blackheads where needed, massage, a mask chosen to suit, then protection. None of it is medical: it is a deep cleanse you cannot do properly on yourself, the extraction part above all.
The massage is not a decorative extra, it is what separates a facial from a mask applied at home in front of the television. On Swigo you choose the beautician yourself, you see their rate before booking, and the payment is only released once the service is done.

What is included, and what is not
This scope is indicative: it describes what is usually covered. Every provider adjusts their own, and you confirm it with them before booking.
-
The cleanse
Skin assessment in daylight. Makeup removal and a two-stage cleanse. Gentle exfoliation, enzymatic or mechanical.
-
The heart of the treatment
Extraction of blackheads, on prepared skin. Massage of the face, neck and shoulders. A mask chosen after the assessment rather than before.
-
The finish
Serum, eye contour and cream to suit. Sun protection at the end of the treatment. Advice on a home routine, with no obligation to buy.
-
Optional
A treatment for someone else straight after, in the same slot, to be stated when booking.
What is not included
- Medium and deep peels, injections and laser, which belong to aesthetic medicine
- Treating acne, rosacea or eczema, which belongs to a dermatologist
- Examining a mole that is changing: a beautician will point you to a doctor, they will not diagnose
- Extraction of cysts and deep spots under the skin, which leave marks
- Treatment on sunburnt or broken skin, or during a cold sore outbreak
- Treatment within forty-eight hours of waxing or exfoliating the same area
Something extra to add? Many providers are happy to take on an additional task. Agree it before booking, it saves misunderstandings on the day.

Four treatments, four aims
-
The cleansing facial
The classic: exfoliation, extraction and a purifying mask. It is the one booked most often, and the only one whose effect shows by the end of the session.
-
The hydrating facial
For skin that feels tight, flakes or reacts to the cold. It does not deep-cleanse, it rebuilds the skin barrier.
-
The glow facial
Before an event: two to three days ahead, never the night before. Skin needs that time to settle, especially if there was extraction. It is also the best base for makeup.
-
A course of treatments
Four to six sessions three to four weeks apart. The only format that changes anything lasting, and it is decided after the first assessment rather than before.
Geneva is not short of salons, it is short of slots: a facial is exactly the kind of appointment people put off, because you have to travel there, block out an hour, and walk back out into the cold with a bare face. Having it come to you removes precisely what made it easy to postpone. On Swigo you compare the profiles, reviews and rates of the providers available in your municipality, from Geneva to Carouge, Meyrin, Vernier or Lancy, and you choose yourself who looks after your skin.
Frequently asked questions, facials
Frequency, extractions, limits: the questions that come up most often.
What do I need to have ready at home?
Somewhere you can lie comfortably for an hour, a sofa or a bed, with room for the beautician to work behind your head. A socket, a water point and a towel. Some providers bring a folding table: it says so on their profile.
How often should I have a facial?
Every four to six weeks for upkeep, which matches the skin’s renewal cycle. As a course, they are brought closer to three or four weeks apart for four to six sessions, then spaced out. A facial every six months feels good on the day but changes nothing lasting, and it is better to know that before paying.
I get spots two days later, is that normal?
Yes, after a first extraction in particular. The treatment brings up what was already sitting under the skin, and it surfaces within two to three days before calming down. That is exactly why a facial is never booked the night before an event, but two to three days ahead.
I have acne or rosacea, can a facial help?
A facial can support, it does not treat. Inflammatory acne, rosacea and eczema are skin conditions for a dermatologist, and some salon techniques can even make a flare-up worse. A serious beautician will say so and adapt, or decline the treatment that day. If anyone promises to cure acne in six sessions, find another provider.
What makes the price vary?
The duration first, since a forty-five minute introductory treatment is not a full hour and a quarter; then the product range used; and any additions, an extended massage or a specific mask. Each provider sets their own rate: it is on their profile and confirmed to you before booking.
What should I avoid before and after?
Before: no exfoliation or waxing of the same area within forty-eight hours, and come without makeup if you can. After: no makeup that evening, no sport or swimming for twenty-four hours, and sun protection the next day, especially if the treatment involved exfoliation.
